Venous Disorders
Venous disorders are extremely common, affecting up to 60% of the US population. This estimate will continue to increase as the population becomes older. Up to 72% of women and 43% of men will have some degree of venous insufficiency by the time they reach their 60s. Vein disorders range in severity from the tiniest spider vein to large bulging varicosities. Often the manifestations are primarily of cosmetic concern, however, vein problems tend to progress over time.
